First of all I would like to tell you that I talked to a few friends and some people I know and I got my hands on some of those miraculous eBooks that teach you how to send huge amounts of visitors to your site without doing nothing or how to get free adwords advertising or how to earn at least $3000/week without moving a finger. The funny thing was I expected them to be some kind of crap but this was too much. I pissed myself off when I read the traffic generating scheme and the affiliate marketing system. They were so stupid and the information in those eBooks could be found anywhere for free (even on Domprofesor.com). So in the next days/weeks you I will post my opinion about some of these programs and I will tell you exactly how they work.

Second thing I would like to tell you is Domprofesor.com is going to have a top commentators list. Everyone in this list will get a backlink from my site and will get featured in the sidebar (something like a blogroll).

Third and last thing for today: your questions.

• Why don’t I use Adsense? Because I don’t think Adsense will work better than what I am using at the moment. But to prove you this (and also to make myself 100% sure) I decided to put Adsense on Domprofesor.com and see what happens in a month’s time. But wait. Because I am doing this to prove you which one is better (Adsense or other advertising methods) all Adsense income from this site will be yours. It will be divided equally between my readers or we’ll set up some kind of contest or I don’t know… I’ll let you decide, it’s your money. (I am now waiting for my confirmation from Adsense and for your opinions on how to give the money away).
• What about AdBrite? There is going to be a full post or a series of posts about how AdBrite works and why is it better than any other contextual advertising network.
• More about the money making programs (the ones that say you can make $3000/week). Several posts are on their way (regarding the programs I got from my friends). As for the programs I can’t get my hands on (without paying - I don’t wanna pay $50 for some crap) I decided to raise funds from my readers. I will set up a Paypal donation account where you can donate (max $2 for each user) and with that money we will buy a program that you, the readers, choose. You will then get a full explanation of how that system works and if it’s legally allowed, you will even get a copy of that eBook.

Yes I finally did it. To he honest I expected this to take much more time but after 5 weeks and no money spent on any kind of advertisements Domprofesor.com is in the Alexa Top 100.000. To be more precise Domprofesor.com’s rank for yesterday is 63,000+. This is a great victory for me because i did this, for you (my readers) because now you know that you can do this too without any money and for the people who bought ads on my site(when it was really cheap) because i told them i would get in the Top 100 in 10 weeks and i did it in 5 (and and now the cost of an ad is much higher).

P.S.: In the time the site was offline I didn’t stop writing. I have a dozen posts (especially about affiliate marketing) waiting to go online and i think you will see them in the next 2 days.

Happy New Month!!!!

Domprofesor.com has been in the biz for 1 month and the outcome is very pleasing. This experiment was created to prove if you can or cannot make money blogging. Well of course you can, you can make money from almost anything but you first have to invest. The special thing about this experiment it that nothing was invested in it (just time). No money required. The only thing you have to pay for to get something like this is hosting (i already had paid hosting), tho you can use a free hosting service that let’s you use PHP.

For the past 4 days the site has been offline. I don’t really know the reason for this: it could be the fact that that some hackers did something (and i really don’t know what or why) or it could be the fact that my database crashed due to the huge number if visitors. Thank God i had a backup (which was corrupted - my host said something about a SLEEP command - if you know something about this please let me know, i don’t want it to happen again). So to get the site back on i had to manually copy/paste every single post.

In the 4 days that the site was offline i think i lost at least 40.000 visitors (they still keep coming for the same thing).

Previously i wrote the 5 Ingredients For A Perfect Viral Linkbait article. And immediately after that i wrote the actual linkbait: 13 Wordpress Plugins That Can Make Your Life Simple, using the 5 ingredients. After that i asked someone to submit the post to Digg and StumbleUpon. After a few hours the flood came. Digg traffic is like a 1 time bomb - exploding for a few hours and then it stops. But StumbleUpon is so constant - even today i got 1200+ visitors from SU in only 4hrs.

So the thing is, before going online with a potential viral post, first you must prepare your server.

I am a Wordpress Noob, so I ask you guys if any of you knows something about the MySQL sleep command or how to make your WP based site load faster(any mysql setting on anything that can help)? I await your answers.

Oh and regarding the contest, you may have noticed that all the comments were deleted. But don’t worry i have all the entrants and the points they have on a spreadsheet, so there is nothing to worry about.
